Low physical memory?

    Low Physical memory,is it missing

    installed physical memory over 3gb but only 763 in total physical memory

    I think i kno what the problem is,i have two memory slots one that has 2gb and another with 1 gb,IS theyre something wrong with slot with 2gb?

    Did you pull the RAM cover and check to see it the DIMMs are fully seated in the slots as suggested?

    His System Information says 3GB installed, 763MB available. That means the OS does see all 3GB. It also means over 2GB is being reserved for hardware or some other use. Definitely need to check all BIOS settings to see if something is configured wrong there.

    Also, try removing the memory modules one at a time and booting, see what is detected and available. Could be as simple as something wrong with one of them.
