    Wow !!! What were you thinking installing all the crap !!!

    ok lets go one by one...

    the highest time taken was by a single process is Avast approx 82 sec

    The rest of the software mentioned below took a considerable amount of time to start

    ACMON - Asus splendid -- almost 17sec

    Batterylife

    ATKMedia

    ATK OSD2 etc

    then the next was used after windows has started explorer.exe...it was waiting for Burn folder.... almost a combined 111 sec

    Please do the following

    1. uninstall AVAST and install MSE (Microsoft Security Essential)

    2. Remove all ASUS related software,..... i mean alll !!!

    3. C:\Users\Pankaj\Desktop\cds-examination-combined-defence-services-700x700-imad7nshxszhutdg.jpeg ... this took almost 7 sec to load.. i would suggest you move it to another folder on the drive...

    If you do all these you would most probably shave off almost 3.5 min of activity during startup

    let me know

    Hi centaur78

    I uninstalled all ASUS applications and drives yesterday, yes it reduced the start up time, but I have to find out which application or driver was causing that problem, I am out in my office now, will tell you the detailed review soon. Also I didn't check with the shutdown time which also takes lot of time. Soon I am going to post the complete results.

    Thank you man, your support is indeed awesome, more reps to you :)

    regards
