laptop problems (running slow) advice needed please

Hi guys i,m trying to look at a laptop for a friend of mine as it was running really slow, its a toshiba satellite c650,

its a windows 7 home os and I have just reloaded windows for him as i thought this would be the problem but its still running really slow even after a fresh install and very little software on it,

have installed speedfan on it and its saying all is ok "well the cpu says 56c but dont think thats that hot?

i,m thinking now mabey its his HD or Ram?

anyway of testing or any ideas please guys?

To check for ram follow this : RAM - Test with Memtest86+
For general hardware this should cover it: Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95 (Three pre-set configurations are available: Small FFTs and In-place FFTs, and Blend. Small and In-place modes primarily test the FPU and the caches of the CPU, whereas the Blend mode tests everything, including the memory.)
Graphics: Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark (Do the Graphics test only with the latest drivers, and then Run it until the temperatures stop increasing; should be less then 10 minutes. If you don't see any crazy glitches or distortion on the screen, The test most likely passed.Take note if the Temperature gets too high, or you see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_artifact to stop the
    test.)

****Make sure you watch the temperatures when performing these tests. These can help with that:
Speedfan : Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
HWmonitor: CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
Also the stress tests may require some time, to complete. If these come out good, then i would suggest 1st to try updating drivers while second being to call the manufacturer.

If you ran Factory Recovery then Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

If it's a Clean Reinstall then work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
