Windows don't use all my memory

    Hello!
I have Windows 7 Professional x64 with 16GB of memory and 16GB more in cache, but when my memory usage reaches 10-11GB, then my applications display popups that I don't have any more memory and windows auto-disable aero. I have gtx 670 graphic card. Here's some screenshots:

    Any idea???

I see your cpu is 2% - so there is no big activity. 63% RAM usage in idle is too big , I think. Of course , it depends on how many background processes goes on. I have different machines with 2 , 4 and 8 Gb of RAM and Windows (7 ultimate) uses about 30% in idle. So check your services and see which are using more memory.

It's not on idle, it's a normal usage. I think chrome uses most of my memory, I guess it's my fault cause I have many tabs open, but I don't have any problem with it. My problem is that windows don't let me use more memory. I should have a total of 32GB (16phys+16pagefile), so why does my system stop working when I don't even use 11GB of 16?

why do you even use pagefile with 16 gb ram? when i had 16 gb ram and was not using page files, i never use more than 30% of memory. The key is that all these web browsers just keep eating up memory as you use them so you have to restart them once in a while to clear the ram usage.

i am still stuck with the dreaded IE 8 in win7 ;(. IE usage goes up to 1 GB and all browsing activity would then get locked up. And then i have to task manager and end all the ie processes that use over 100MB... Is there a fix rel by ms for this problem?

215 running processes? Might want to close a few things there.

Also up-time of 16 days. A restart now and then might help as well.

Because all articles that I've read advise to use a pagefile.

I have more than 100 tabs open. I can't close it and re-open all them just to free 500mb.

Please make a new thread for your problem.

I think you understand me wrong. I don't care if chrome uses 6GB. I bought 16 GB so that I can run many processes. Yeah, I know I should have bought 32, but it's too late now. My problem is that windows see that I have 16GB but when I use 11GB it thinks that my memory has exhausted and that I don't have any more.
