    It does that even if you disable all from the above list?

    Yeah, trackpad just doesnt disable itself.

    I notice that your logon screen isn't standard. There is something written on the top of the screen. You tried reverting that to standard?

    MY custom logon screen has never had an effect on any laptops of the past.

    I wanted to say "is it slow even with all entries in the list (not just trackpad, everything) disabled?"


    you tried the program I suggested? I use it as well on my machine to get to the desktop faster.

    It either delays or disables (depending on your decision) programs that run on startup, and allows the delayed ones to run when the PC is idle.

    I shall try e program tonight, Right now I am very upset (pissed actually) i just deleted a very long microsoft word document thanks to my thumbs hitting the trackpad as i type .

    I mentioned TouchFreeze in a previous post. It doesn't fix your original problem, but would have prevented that

    Well, I just tried touchfreeze and that didnt even work, So maybe asus is messing with my laptop.
