Booting up never makes it to W7 logo screen?

Hi guys, I can't seem to get to the W7 logo loading up screen after the bios check. I can't even get to Safety mode from pressing F8. I can get changing the Bios or configuration. Here's the story of what happened, a few days ago I booted up my computer and it worked normally and got to the desktop screen. I tried firing up my firefox exe. It crashed, then tried internet explorer(never liked it) same thing happened. Then I restarted just to see if this repairs the problem. Then I get errors that I've never faced before popping up in little windows about 3x.(Can't remember what they were) It frozed up, I restarted with the reset button instead cause I couldn't get to task manager. This time it went into the repair screen mode I tried all of them. None of them worked and when I used the system restore to the earlier point. It wouldn't work because of something to do with RSTRUI. After it restarted to that repair screen three times and tried letting windows repair it for me. It stopped making it to the W7 logo animations screen. Only goes past the Bios check up. What do I do now? It shouldn't be a hardware issue because everything ran fine for a while till a trojan came in and corrupted some data a couple weeks back.

    Welcome to Sevenforums,

Maybe check in the Bios settings the boot order is ok if you have multiple disk, and check either if you're on Ahci mode or other mode like Ide, Raid...

Could have change something in the wild having restart with the reset button.

Well my bios boot setting order is giving me the options of Removable dev., SATA, CDROM, and Disabled. The order is 1)CDROM 2)SATA 3)Removable Dev. It's on IDE mode I believe. Here is my Bios "Main" setup 1)Primary IDE master: Not detected 2)Primary IDE Slave: Not detected 3)SATA 1: WDC WD6401AALS-00L 4)SATA 2: ASUS DRW-24B1ST 5)SATA 3,4,5,6: Not Detected.

Thanks you for replying, well I am in a bit of a predicament. I can't access my desktop or get into safety mode. Like I said, I can only get to as far as the bios. When it is showing Bios information, then it gives me the option of pressing f8, tab or delete to get to the bios, safety mode(can't access), etc. After that I get a black screen, not even my mouse cursor pops anywhere.

So in Bios you should swap to AHCI Mode, not IDE

How do I go about switching to AHCI? I didn't build the computer. A brothers friend did.

So now you're on AHCI Mode, looks like you'll have to set the boot order to:

    1)SATA 1: WDC WD6401AALS-00L
    2)SATA 2: ASUS DRW-24B1ST
    3)SATA 3,4,5,6: Not Detected.

    or

If you have the original install CD try to boot on the CD and make a start-up repair

1)SATA 2: ASUS DRW-24B1ST (press any when prompt at screen)
    2)SATA 1: WDC WD6401AALS-00L
    3)SATA 3,4,5,6: Not Detected.

If it failed to repair once try :Startup Repair Infinite Loop Recovery

    At last : REPAIR INSTALL
