    pc became excessively slow


    Hi,
    i am using a sony vaio laptop-i3, win-hpx64, ram-3gb, graphic card-256mb, hdd-320gb

    few days back my pc was shutting down again and again due to heating problem.
    fan was not in a working cond.

    but now since that problem has been resolved, now i am facing another problem.
    whenever i start my pc windows doesn't boot up, afetr the animation logo,
    i tried in low resolution mode and last gud configuration, but didn't work.

    when i boot up in safe mode, i boots up but takes 15 mins to boot up and when explorer shows up, it's very very slow.(p.s. can hardly refresh).

    i tried to run windows recovery partition, but that too is very slow, and doesnt goes ahead of PLEASE WAIT..

    i treied to reeboot the windows with the help of another cd, but process is also very slow...

    plz help and tell wat shuld i do...

    There maybe system files that are corrupted. Run SFC /Scannow three times and report back.

    hey theveterans,
    thanx 4 replying.

    i tried sfc, but in command prompt, it shows
    "The offline image has a different platform architecture thanthe runnung system.
    This is not supported for system repair.
    X:\Sources>"


    now wat to do..

    one more thing it is showing one of my partition as RAW instead of NTFS in "list volume".
    wat does that mean?
