When you do step 4, do you or do you not then see a choice for "change drive letter and paths" as shown in post 10????

If you do see that choice, choose it.

If you do not see that choice, either post a picture of what you do see or tell me what you do see.

    Try this:

Then try to assign the drive letter "C" to that partition now shown as "OS". You may have to back up a step or two and click on that "OS" partition and then go back to the action menu.

After you get the OS partition renamed to C, reboot and go back to Disk Management and show us a new picture.
How do i assign the drive letter?

Did you do step 2 before doing steps 3 and 4?

Namely, select the partition now shown as recovery.

You have to change what is now C to something other than C before you can do anything else. I asked you to change C to R.

In your picture, the recovery partition is still shown as C. You have to change that.

use the ADD button. hilite & change drive C 1st - add a letter, R. remove the letter C to free it. hilite the OS partition, go to the change letter, add C.

If you cannot reassign the drive letters in Windows Disk Management, you may have to use Partition Wizard Boot Disk.

I have no idea how that \R got into that picture.

You apparently renamed the OS partition to R. I don't know how or why.

    Click cancel and start over.

Then go back to that same screen.

With the mouse, highlight "Recovery (C)" in that picture.

The change button should then light up. Choose change and then assign the letter M to that partition from the next window.

    Then show us another picture.

Then click OK and show us a picture. You don't have much choice at this point.
