Z77 chipset and Hirens Mini XP environment issue

I recently put together a system that uses the Intel Z77 chipset and have observed a problem with the Hirens mini XP environment not recognizing the sata ports. I'm guessing that mini XP loads incompatible drivers??
All other boot utilities I have tried - system repair, Macrium pe, Partition Wizard ... work fine.

I mention this because the mini XP env bundles many tools and it may let you down with a Z77 chipset.

Edit: I've struck this problem before now I remember and it probably isn't a Z77 chipset issue. I'll run the Winpe environment instead of mini XP, I know that always works.
