Windows won't resume when utilising two cores
I'm hoping someone could help me with a problem I have been experiencing.
A couple of days ago I tried to run the game Blacklight: Retribution, although I was warned with the message that my PC did not meet the minimum requirements of having two cores, of which my machine was in fact equipped with. I researched into why I was getting this meesage, and found it was because under the advanced boot tab in msconfig, I had had the option of using only one processor checked.I then unchecked the box, restarted my PC and I was able to play my games at much increased frames per second, although my issue is that now when I hibernate my PC, my screen doesn't display anything after the 'Resuming Windows' message, and I can not find a solution for this particular problem. If I check the box again, my PC does successfully resume Windows startup, although it does not run at its full potential.
I really hope someone can help me resolve this problem, and please ask if you require any extra information.
Thanks in advance,
