So I learnt a valuable lesson last week... Check hardware compatibility before upgrading things. I bought a 4x1GB Dominator DDR2-1066 kit (or rather, two 2x1GB kits) a little while back to replace my XMS2-DHX. Installed them, the grin on my face growing exponentially with each module as it clicked into place...

Then I proceeded to fight with my PC for about 2 hours, changing various different BIOS settings trying to get my new babies to run at 1066MHz, with countless BIOS resets.. Only to find out my Athlon 6000+ won't run RAM faster than 800MHz without being overclocked, and it wouldn't go past 205MHz core speed (up from the default 200).

But, my new Phenom II x3 710 doesn't have that problem. Hehe... Nice jump from my previous 8000-odd MB/s speeds hey?
