First things first, I was somewhat mistaken with the speed.. It's just over 15k, not 17k MB/s. Which isn't much better than the 12k I got with my DDR2-1066 on my previous board.

ZaLiTH, Are you sure it is in Dual channel? I had an issue with mine when setting to 1600, it was at 17k until moving the RAM to dual channel and it went up to 21.9k (close to dude's)

(I am running on an AMD platform with an FX chip)

Yup, definitely dual channel. I haven't overclocked anything yet with my new machine, but I did tighten the timings to the recommended values. Still, I'm getting these sort of speeds...

Zalith that is only slightly less than what I can get with a 965BE and 1866 RAM.

Maybe setting DRAM to unganged would help. mine is unganged, but I have a newer FX chip. the FX chip is also OC'ed a little... maybe something else is limiting the speed....

    Actually... might be the CPU:

Ganged should always be the better performer. The RAM specs they quote are for default settings, that's what the Deneb supports.

Thanks guys, I'm still having fun playing with the rig. Gonna play with the GPU next. Edit-Figured I would stay on this task and leave the gpu as is. Squeezed some more.

I can't see the numbers, the snip is way too small. Upload the whole image as saved to SF.
