Windows 7: AppHangB1 in AutoCad 2012 when copy/paste (Not Responding)

I recently installed AutoCad 2012 on my computer and it hangs up when I copy and paste. It goes into a "Not Responding" mode for 2-3 minutes and then works fine again until I try and copy and paste again. I appreciate any help that anyone can offer as this has become very annoying.
