Black screen for some time at startup.

Hello. I keep getting a black screen after the Welcome screen for about 10-15 seconds and then the desktop appears. And sometimes it happens for a long time so I have to restart the PC. I haven't tried to fix it because I have no idea what to do. I need a solution for this. I will be very thankful to you if you help fix this problem. Thank You !!!

Hi,

This sounds like a service or program is still starting up before the login screen. Examine your list of services/startup programs - how many do you have?

Golden

Hi,

If this issue started occurring after doing some recent software changes on your computer, then I would suggest you to restore your system back to a date when it was working fine. System Restore will affect Windows system files, programs, and registry settings only.

For System Restore steps, you can refer to the URL mentioned: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/system-restore
