I wouldn't bother with the RAMDrive, it was intended to speed up HDDs, your SSD should be fast enough on it's own.
I was going to add this recommendation as well, once it was marked solved, but I'll add it now. SSDs aren't as brittle as once thought, so there's no harm in using them the way you'd use a normal drive. It's never made sense to see people buy an SSD and then try to use it as little as possible.

First of all, I'm CHEAP! I still use my FIRST HD over 1 Gig [it was a 12] as my boot drive for my server. I WILL get my $200 out of it!

I'm not trying to use it as little as possible. I'm trying to use it in a way that will allow me to show off the FAST machine. I'm trying to fill it with stuff that's more read that written. Not difficult for me, considering MOST of my data folders [Desktop, Docs, Pics, Music, etc]

Second of all, I'm stingy. I don't like buying things I already have. [See cheap]

Eventually, it will probably end up as my boot drive for my server, once it's ready to be retired from the living room PC, but I'm hoping this machine is fast enough to be used for a long time...

I think that 1% gain is worth it right now...

    Writes are faster than reads.

Nothing wrong with using what you paid for.

Did you make the BIOS adjustments?
    Is it stable?

I made the adjustments. Ran the test, and I THINK it closed itself after it was done. [All I know is it didn't reboot]

This morning, I had a IE crash while playing a flash game that I play often, and don't remember a crash...

Stability is kinda Pot-Luck. I RARELY have a crash on the day it's booted...

Update: I got the BIOS updated. It wouldn't install off the SSD, but it installed off a thumbdrive just fine. [Asus says that sometimes installing off the HD fails, but it never fails off a thumbdrive.]

    New Memory has Arrived

    My new memory has arrived!

It's 53F outside, so I'm going to let the memory hit room temperature before testing each stick [1 pass] before installing the full set

Yes. Since 16Gigs over 12 would not make a difference for my home, I think I will continue to use the RAMDrive.

I am very glad to hear that the SSDs are not as fragile as once thought, but I'm still going to treat it as such. I hope it will keep the drive usable MUCH longer than expected, as I don't think I will ever think "It's too slow" to keep...
