8-Core, overclocked machine slow...

I don't baby my SSD no more than I would baby a hard drive. Mine is warranted 5 years no mater how much I use it. If your SSD is made correctly it will last. I still don't recommend using a Ram Drive at least until you get your problem solved. I could run us all in circles.

A RAM drive unless set up right will lose its data at every boot too. It can be set to write its data to a physical disk at boot and then re-write to the RAM disk. Where does the RAM disk write and read its data from?

I made a disk image when I first set it up, it has folders in it and nothing else...

All data stored is either TEMP or cache, so it is not missed any time it is powered up again...

I never write new copies to the SSD

New memory is installed.

I ran MemTest86+ one pass on each stick. All sticks were reported to be 400Mhz.

I ran OCCT, but I don't know how to read the results, havn't tried yet...

I made the adjustments. Ran the test, and I THINK it closed itself after it was done. [All I know is it didn't reboot]

This morning, I had a IE crash while playing a flash game that I play often, and don't remember a crash...

Stability is kinda Pot-Luck. I RARELY have a crash on the day it's booted...

Did you test with OCCT?
It makes a loud noise if it fails, hard to miss unless you are away from your computer.
Not sure if it will close itself after a certain time, as I usually keep a watch on stability tests.
Look in C drive > Users > (your user name) > My Documents > OCCT for the graphs it generates.
Post them all here.

Post the CPUZ 'Memory' and 'SPD' tabs.
One pass of memtest86+ won't tell you much, better to install the RAM and see if it will boot.
Is your BIOS still set to run the RAM at 800MHz (actual 1600MHz)?

My memory is set at 1600 in BIOS. All my CPUZ info was posted earlier in this chat. [Page 4?]

I will post all the OCCT results later. My machine usually has it's sound off, because of location...

It's the same brand/model of RAM [different revision]. Just all report the same speed now...

Actually, I thought they would be the same, but TO BE SURE, I included new ones and added Graphics. [Didn't compare before/after]
