    Too many folders

I have 815 empty folders under C:\Users\Clint\AppData\Local\. They are like
{000A28889-3B90-4BDD-A79F-8A38C7ECBDB2F} and so on. Is it safe to delete them?

    Thanks Clint

Try googling a few and see what they are/is said about them. If they are indeed truly empty........ make a back-up or a system restore point and then delete them.

When I Goggled them, the only 2 results I got were mine and your post.

Those are created by Windows Live programs(probably Live Mail). Deleting them shouldn't cause any harm as long as they're empty, those are temporary folders that are usually deleted automatically.

The latest update of Windows Live Essentials has fixed that issue. Those folders will no longer appear.

I have the latest ver. Would that have deleted the older ones?

No, it wouldn't. You must manually delete them.

I have deleted the 815 folders. Now they are starting to come back. Any ideas?

    Thanks Clint

see if they are being created when you start some other program (open a program you use, and check if new folders are created there, then close and open another program).

Is this the version of Windows Live Essentials you have?

    Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3505.0912)
