    Briliant Mitchell65! Bloody Brilliant....

Why didn't I think of video teaching, but now that you've planteed the seed, I recalled there are very good (long) videos from the creators

    #3 - Process Monitor

    #4 - Process Monitor - Examples

Thanks for jump starting the brain cells.

There's a language delay here - naked might not be correct. I think we're all together on procmon - we need an expert and a tranlator.

lavixgne: try the videos I posted, Brits speak quite rapidly, even I had difficulty. The 2nd will give you real world examples, but you need the first to know the how and why.

I'll try and round up someone more versed in procmon.

But this OP had the same problem a day or two ago and said it was solved see here:
So is this not the exact same problem that you have just reported as solved in your previous thread here?:
    windows boot manager
If it is not solved i wonder if the CPU is on the blink!

The thread you referenced was resolved by a Startup Repair. This thread seems to be in reference to a slow system - noticed when browsing. It is possible that the two are related.

Lavixgne stated in post #1 that Windows Defender and avast found no malware.

We really haven't begun any analysis for this thread - slowness. I thought Procmon would be the best monitoring tool to look for system bottlenecks. Then I realized I wasn't expert enough to guide Lavixgne. The utility is fairly easy to do simple analysis, much like Task manager - launch, sort, and watch. I hoped that Lavixgne could pick up enough from the videos you and I posted.

Perhaps the "How to Optimize Windows" tutorial will help.

Yes, windows manager problem solved. Mitchell is just trying to understand. I think we're good on the other problem - that was resvolded with a startup repair.

Yes it is probably a lanuguage thing - it might take longer beacuse of it and the 10 to 12 hour time difference. My spelling isn't helping much =:>

I hope you cleaned off the malware / threat you posted. I only saw screens that described the threat, nothing showing that you clicked on clean (first screen).

If you did NOT clean the threat - do it NOW.

You have at least one bad guy on your machine. Clean that bad guy off and then run a full scan. There are other tools that might be recommended.

After you scan your system with Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE),
download Malwarebytes (free - answer no to trial offer if asked) and run a full scan with it.

Post the results (no bad guys, or bad guy XYZ found and cleaned). There might be more tools, more scans.

Let's forget Procmon for now - focus on cleaning the bad guys off of your machine.
