Hello Sinanj, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you could check each location in each option in the tutorial below to find this startup program to disable.

    Hope this helps, :)

Not answering the OP, but my problem is exactly the same:

    - C:\Users\(User-Name)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup is just having desktop.ini.
    - Start menu - startup folder is empty
    - Shell:startup shows only desktop.ini

    - C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup also has only desktop.ini

    - msconfig -startup has only MSE ticked

    - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    AND
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
have no entry (value not set)HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run has MSE only
    AND
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce has nothing
AND (If added by Group Policy)
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run
    has no entry beyond HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\

AND (If added by Group Policy)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run
    here, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\ doesn't have a Run

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    AND
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
    have no values

    ccleaner just has MSE ticked.

and taskscheduler doesn't have the program that I am concerned about.

yet, NetSpeedMonitor ( FlorianGilles.com - NetSpeedMonitor ) somehow manages to run at startup and places itself on taskbar to show net upload download speeds (my selection).

How is it running automatically when it is not appearing anywhere
How do I disable its autorunning?

    Thanks.

Double check to make sure. If it's running at startup, then it's got to be in one of those locations. If you have created a task (Method Six) to run spider.exe, then it may take longer to find the task for it in Task Scheduler.

The file C:\Windows\System32\spider.exe is for the Spider Solitaire game if that may help any.

    Hi again.

    That made me mad ;_)

    Still nothing there.

I will move file spider.exe from c:\windows\system32 then will start invalid shortcut (will search for a peice), after scan finished will launch file from different foler.

I believe only this way I will get rid of it.

    Thanks and regards.
