    Windows Experience Index Error

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop a few days ago, and am trying to get the Windows Experience Index generated. However, I get a message saying that it couldn't be completed due to an error.

Here is the info from the winsat.log file:

i had a similar problem trying to generate a score after i'd installed to a second partition on my primary drive. I've now installed on my primary partition on my primary drive and all is well
Have you installed on a secondary partition too?
Is the drive you're trying to score labelled C: or have you installed somehwhere like D: / E:??

The drive is actually C: - I'm not sure why it's saying D: in that scan as I don't have any other partitions. However, I've run the scan multiple times and have gotten the same errors each time.

what antivirus software are you using?

there's a problem with the latest update of KIS 2010 and wei at the moment...

this may, or may not, have anything to do with your problem...

Thanks for the info. That's likely the issue since I have KIS 2010. I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for an update from Kaspersky as I really don't want to go to the trouble of uninstalling it and reinstalling it just to get a WEI score.

Nothing do with KIS 2010 - you can try WEI again as I think its something do with Windows 7, 1st time I installed without KIS2010 and using DVI-HDMI cable from PC to LCD TV and the display screen seem too much for MS limited display screen size that I didnt get WEI score as it all unrated with error message so I reformat and reinstall make refresh and change the cable DVI to VGA and then it prefect display size and then scan WEI again and got it finally....
