    Very Slow shutdown

I have been experiencing a very slow shutdown every time I shut down my PC. It takes about 4-5 mins to shut down. What can I do to make it quicker? I have attached the system specs. Thanks

You may have programs running that need to shut down and they are taking extra time.

Type msconfig in run, go to startup, turn off what you don`t need running all the time, go to services, hide all microsoft services, turn off what you don`t need running all the time. see if this helps.

Yes, that's right... Running processes make PC performance slow and also slow start up and shutdown. We need to kill those processes which are unnecessary.

Go to Regedit and then to this key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

On the right side you should see:

    WaitToKillServiceTimeout

If that value is more than 5000, set it to 5000.
