    High DPC latency!

    Hi!

I have problem with latency! I have Sony Vaio VPCF12M1E/H laptop with Samsung SSD.
Current OS is Windows 7 x64.

In last two days i have reinstalled OS three times! And still no success.
I have tried running LatencyMon with default OS (microsoft) drivers and with latest drivers from manufacturer.

I have tried to disable many devices in device manager step by step but the problem is still here.

So i guess its not software... Am i right?
It is very annoying! And i cant use this laptop like that! If i watch youtube i hear "clicks & pops" every few seconds. Annoying!

Is there any way to solve this problem?

    One example:

    CONCLUSION
    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ _____
Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

No one? What is causing high latency?

Run the DPC latency checker and see what it says. I got some "bad" results with that latency program but DPC latency checker did not show it and I was not having any problems. Just ran it to see.

    DPC Latency Checker

As far as drivers, the PC Vendor's sound drivers are preferred. Non-Vendor drivers many times do not work correctly.

Wi-Fi is one thing that is known to cause pops clicks, etc. Disable Wi-Fi in the Device Manager and then see if the Latency program shows any change.

Have you disabled any CPU variable speed settings as recommended by the latency monitor?

It is most likely a driver problem.

I have PC vendors drivers. Updated to latest. And as i said os was installed three times. And it is still the same thing.
With or without pc vendors drivers.
I have disabled some devices in device manager. Wlan, soundcard, sd/memory card reader... Still not better.

I have tried high performance plan with CPU POWER 100% both min and max and is still the same thing.
There are no setting in BIOS to play with...

Update your videocard driver to latest version, the one you have installed seems damaged or corrupted.

    Thanks for reply.

Drivers are latest. I have tried three different versions... No big difference.

Today i have installed Windows 8 and tried... Exact same results as in Windows 7. So this is most probably not software problem or is it?
