LocalMLS Rearing it's ugly head again

So I was running out of space on my boot drive, so I ran WinDirStat.
I was surprised by the HUGE size of the MS Media player Art Cache - 11.1GB worth

Now I can go and clear that sucker out - I remember doing it before a year or two or more ago. I tend not to actually USE the MS Media player.. but any ideas where I can shut this cache down without actually deleting Media player?

    Path of these files - C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\LocalMLS

    hi

Disable the “Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service” from the Services and you are good to go.... And oh delete the cache when you are at it

Well if you read it description ...it says
"Shares Windows Media Player libraries to other networked players and media devices using Universal Plug and Play."

If you don't have any players or media players or phone.... thats uses WMP... then you are safe !

If you feel the issue has been resolved.. please mark this post as closed and Rep those helped
