ESET Nod32 antivirus Results...(2nd Scan)

if i were you, i wouldn't install all those antivirus and then uninstall them. they actually remain in your registry and other part of your computer. after some time you may think your computer gotten slow down and you need to re install your windows.

i haven't tested the nod online system check but i know nod has two different check, one just check and one clean your computer.
try to install nod as a trial, but after cleaning your computer and storage devices with rescue disk.
Thanks, i reran the scan with NOD ESET32 and it now says 0 threats detected. Does this mean ive got rid of the viruses? What do you make of it? Let me know, thanks!

FYI: Yes, i am hoping Kaspersky does it thoroughly, right now the data is isolated on a different laptop (New one), once clean, i plan to transfer to a brand new HDD and then reformat my new computer completely and ONLY then introduce my backup into my new system.

It is very hard to understand why all those other security scans didn't remove those infections. Unless they were quarantined and you didn't remove them.
After you get your computer all cleaned up and running properly their is something else that needs worked on.
How did you get all those infections on one computer at the same time? This usually means you are downloading from the same place using the same programs and methods. You will just get infected again if things are done the same way again.

Very good question Lay Back bear and one that i have addressed quite stringently, i will implement it the moment i clean these viruses out.

I own an international business and receive a lot scans, documents, images and sometimes other types of files from companies all over the world, on further investigation i have noticed that the ones from China and India were infected, it is completely my fault for not being wary of what goes on my computer, but i've learnt my lesson now and plan to invest a good amount of time and money into security soft wares.

Once we're done i will ask you and mmkarimi to recommend the best anti virus/ anti Trojan and anti malware programs and nothing will get on without a THOROUGH scan.

Thanks for the insight as always and im looking forward to decisively eradicating these infections.

ESET Nod32 antivirus and Kaspersky Results..

Gentlemen,

I did a third scan with ESET Nod32 and it says NO threats detected, does that mean its over and gone? Please let me know what you think.

Also, Kaspersky stopped abruptly and said "Malfunction, Unknown reason" so am running it again. Will keep you posted.

Thanks!

Emsissoft Scan Results...

Hello,

I ran another scan with Emsissoft again and it said 0 threats detected. So now we have 2 programs confirming 0 threats. Do you think this is over with or should i run a few more scans?

I am now running an AVG Scan as well, while it couldn't kill the virus it caught it each time.

I am still running Kaspersky and will also be running Windows defender offline soon.

Thanks!

There are just too many of them, id rather you and Layback Bear recommend what AV you think is best based on your expert opinion and extensive experience.

Also, how many should i get? Since we cant completely rely on one, which ones offer the best active protection (real time guard), firewall and heuristics?

Thanks!

Dear Corp2212,
about the quantity i should say you must install just one antivirus in your system, they may conflict with each other.
about the best antivirus, each has its own trait, Price, every day updating, better user interface, and so many other standards.

I have read this thread but maybe missed this but you don't appear to have checked Task manager.
If you bring that up and go to the second tab, it has a column showing the %age use of CPU time for each running service\function. Looking down the list you can readily identify what is eating the cycles.

Thanks for the recommendations and yes i will use only one after closely reviewing those links. Can i use Malware Bytes and 1 Antivirus together? Or would Malwarebytes conflict as well? Great Job MMKARIMI!
