Have you run the scans recommended in the steps which have not been reported back on yet?

Apart from Malwarebyte and spyware, I've also tried:
- MSE full scan
- Test HD using maker's diagnostics/repair full CD scan + full disk check
- SFC/SCANNOW

All of them ran without a problem with no big issues detected (except fixing/repairing few minor stuff).

On the other hand, wouldn't it be better to get my PC checked by my local tech? He checks my computer and fixes any issues for free as I'm one of his royal customer. Its convenient though, this might destroy the purpose of learning about my PC and how to solve certain issues.

I don't think my PC is slow due to this "issue" as I will recognize it immediately if such things happen. However, the delay in loading applications/firewall during start-up is very noticeable. Though I'm not sure if this issue itself is slowing down my PC or not.

I think you're learning fine. Once you've worked through all of the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7
you will be very well versed about where to turn.

If you have a good tech you trust who works for free then by all means see what he can uncover. He might even let you observe since you are obviously eager to learn.

I'll try every troubleshooting steps to increase my chance of solving my current issue as well as get my PC checked asap.

Either way, thank you for the suggestions. Will keep this thread updated.

I've disabled it in control panel, and it turned on again. I went to services and disabled it, but on the next boot it's again on and set to automatic. I find that many services in win7 have a mind of their own and it doesn't matter what you set.
