WIN7 x64 hangs at shutdown.

    these seem very involved and probably above my level......

    I'll update this post the next time i reinstall windows and follow the guide.

    If you are using the Marvell Sata III ports try using the the Sata II ports for your drives instead. Set you bios for proper boot and see what happens. Sometimes Marvell and Asus motherboard don't get along when using Intel cpu.
