    Registry Errors-Please help

    Hi Forum users:

Here is my issue. I use AVG AV and it has a component called PC Analyzer that analyzes my computer. It lists Registry error and can supposedly fix them if needed. Well it found over 200 errors on my latest scan and i've listed just a few here. I am really concerned because of the RealPlayer listings because i uninstalled RealPlayer months ago and so i am wondering why it is showing up in my registry. Have i been hacked or something? How can i learn more about how registries work because i know that you're not supposed to tamper with the registry unless you are VERY knowledgeable about them. Pleas let me know what these entries mean and how i can stop RealPlayer from showing up in my registry. Thanks very much to anyone that can help.
Note: The Reg error is listed first then the category.

Here's the thing about registry cleaners, they know less about your registry than you do, its best just to leave your registry alone and not play with it or let anything touch it. You have not been hacked it is simply that sometimes when a program uninstalls it leave certain registry values there because and again I stress this THE REGISTRY IS VERY FRAGILE and again I will repeat DO NOT USE REGISTRY CLEANERS they will do more harm than good. If you wont take my word for it have a look at this test done by another of the forums members dealing with registry cleaners: Registry Cleaner Tests - Why NOT To Use One!

Thanks a lot Dsprague. I use Registry Booster frequently, so it's best that i uninstall it-right? So the RealPlayer entries in my registry are there permanently?

I would start with these tutorials:

    Delete Browser History

    Delete Internet Temp files

from there I would look into ccleaner, this program has a registry cleaner function but again don't use it it is good however for removing built up crap like temp files and old cache files that will slow down a pc
