Cannot boot my PC. "BOOTMGR IS MISSING"
Hi everyone out there.
So after my computer have served me well after a couple of years, I suddenly run into a boot problem.
My computer can no longer boot into windows, and i get the following message when starting up my system:
"BOOTMGR IS MISSING press ctrl+alt+del to restart."
After some googling and trying to solve my issue, I run a startup repair as i have found that to be the most common issue with this problem I have, but with no success. when I run the startup repair from the recovery disk i get the following description of why it cannot run the startup repair:
------------------------------
Name: Disk failure diagnosis
Result: completed successfully. Error code = 0x0
Time taken = 110ms
Root cause found:
------------------------------
Bad Hard Disk:
------------------------------
------------------------------
So im am now wondering if my computer is dead or if there is a way to fix this issue. I hope I have given people enough detail to work with, since this is the first time i have a issue I have posted something about.
Note: my hard drive makes some kind of *click* noise - and it happened suddenly after rebooting my system, aswell as I getting the error.
Tobias.
