There's a fair few cards worse, and cheaper, than a 7970 that will hit 7.9. My 7850 does

Thanks all,
I just lucked into a great GPU as I traded a member my old full tower for this GPU and it's fairly strong performer over my previous crossfired 5770's. I'm not in any hurry but watching for GPU deals and tossed over going Nvidia or Radeon for the next move but I do know that I would like to get at least a 2gb ddr5 set up.
