What a disaster this has turned out to be.

I used the Partition tool I burned to make bootable. It worked well but after reboot, it said MBR was missing.
Used the repair disk I had just made, says no MBR on it. Tried to use Acronis recovery disk, it would not work, tried a few times and couldn't get it to fire up.

Did a clean install to the SSD, nothing else was connected, no HDD, no external HDD.

So far I've lost everything, unless there is a way to use Acronis to put it all back, the last incrimental backup was on 6.2

Without further wait heres the pic's

What is that F partition? how did that get there? What do you mean you've lost everything? I thought you had all your personal data backed up.

Nice Miguel I bet it runs like a Race Horse now !

Also see you got a 3.4 Ghz out of my old 925 sweet
Yea the ssd and cpu are running great, though the cpu is a little on the warm side though I think I might need new thermal paste maybe ,one that takes heat better then the stock paste that came with the heat sink or at least I think that's it. I feel like I can't live with out my ssd now, to big of a difference it's like comparing the sun to the moon in brightness lol Turns on and loads almost instant and turns off before I can even get up. Have my games installed on my original hdd though since I settled for a small ssd since it was more affordable. Was going to get a bigger hdd at first but then I changed my mind and got the ssd hehe.

Before you started this, did you not back up any data?

Yes, it was already backed up from 2 or 3 days ago.

I just can't get to it.

I provided you with a movie that shows exactly how to extend C to the left:
    gregrocker said:
Once the OS boots and C holds the System Active flags, you can delete System Reserved to leave or recover its space using Partition Wizard CD Resize Partition - Video Help.
In rare cases during resizing on the boot sector Win7 can become unbootable with the error you report. This is repaired by confirming boot partition is marked Active and running up to 3 Startup Repairs. Had you asked back I could have told you this.

When you say you "cant get to" your data, does this mean it's in the Acronis image? If so you can mount the image to copy out your data using Acronis True Image.

It's probably too late but in case you're interested in getting a perfect Clean Reinstall
the steps are in the blue link and same for retail.

I'm pretty sure you'll eventually be able to get to the data, but I would like for you to do a clean install and not restore an image. That's probably what messed you up last time. With Acronis I believe you can mount the image and just copy your personal data off. Why don't you get some sleep and let's get back to it in the morning when everyone is thinking clearer.
