Tips to keep my new laptop as fast as possible

Ive been using a laptop for 1 year now and im going to completely restore my system because my laptop has become kinda slow.

Wich programs should i install?, i just want to install necessary things because i want to keep my laptop as fast as possible, here are some of the programs im looking forward to install.

- Avast Internet Security
- K-lite codec pack (i watch a lot of movies on my laptop) yify-torrents.com if anyone is interested.
- Winpatrol
- CCleaner
- utorrent
- Internet download manager
- itunes

This are pretty much all the programs i use on my laptop, i would really appreciate if you guys could give me some tips or tell me to remove one of the programs from my list if its going to affect my laptop´s performance.

9/10 It's not what you install, It's how you use them and manage them that counts.

For example: If you have Utorrent sat constently in your taskbar, uploading/seeding to other torrent users, Then your pc will slow down a little, mainly your Internet connection.

Win7 is always fast and never hangs with a perfect install on adequate hardware. Take a look at these steps to get a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which are the same for retail.

Until you get around to that you can Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

I'd also Optimize Windows 7 - Windows 7 Forums especially editing visual effects of animation, fading, sliding, dragging intact and selection rectangle which hog RAM.
