Routine Maintenance Followed by Automatic Shutdown

I think I have learned, through the tutorials, how to set the Task Scheduler to perform an automatic shut down after a certain amount of idle time.

What I would like to do is set up Task Scheduler to perform a regiment of consecutive routine maintenance after a set amount of idle time and then automatically shutdown when that is completed.

For instance, would it be possible to set up Task Scheduler to, after a certain amount of idle time, consecutively run CCleaner>Malwarebytes>NOD32> and then perform Automatic Shutdown?

If those programs have command line arguments that allow them to be run unattended then you could run them sequentially from a batch file and point the scheduled task to the batch file.

Thanks, Ztruker. I hadn't thought of that. I'll look into it. I use to be pretty handy with batch files, back in the day.

I would still like to know if task scheduler provides some kind of relatively straight forward way to automatically run a chain of tasks sequentially, if someone is familiar with it. Seems like it could be useful for a number of things.

No, there is no built in way to do it. You may be able to use & or && to join multiple commands and execute them sequentially.
