Windows 7: total (physical+virtual) memory usage monitor for taskbar/systray

total (physical+virtual) memory usage monitor for taskbar/systray

I'm looking for a utility that can show me my total memory usage on the taskbar or systray. It should show the % or a graph.

For example, I have 4 GB physical RAM and my Task Manager is showing:
Physical Memory: Total = 4006, Available = 1000
System Commit: 3684/8004

I found some memory monitors, but they show my memory usage as 75%, which is the physical memory, not the total, which would be 46% . I've tried:

SysTryMeter SysTrayMeter - Download
Taskbar Monitor win7-taskbar-mon - A very simple performance monitor that gives at-a-glance system performance info. - Google Project Hosting
RAM CPU Taskbar RAM CPU Taskbar v2 by ~anonymous-thing on deviantART
(this one doesn't work for me because I disabled Aero)

I do not think that the page file (virtual memory) is utilized the same way as your RAM is (physical memory). I don't know why you're looking for a utility that gives you a combined statistic, but this utility says it displays CPU, RAM, and page file usage:

Years back when I first discovered the virtual memory setting whilst playing about in the Windows settings, I thought I'd stumbled upon some hidden jewel. I don't know how high I set it lol, but now, despita having read that some programs may actually require a page file, I always disable it.

Me too, disable it I mean. Many don't recommend doing that but I haven't had any problems yet. I do have plenty of RAM though.

Scratch that link - didn't see it was for XP. The screenshot looked like an Aero desktop, so I just assumed.

Why don't you use the Resource Monitor. You can pin it to the taskbar. It gives you a nice graph.

Hello, Recently my laptop started functioning very badly, slowing down suddenly, then crashing, even thought I wasn't running too many processes or taxing it too hard. For a while I thought it might be a virus or malware, but running any scan was an exercise in futility since the computer slowed...

Question with RAM usage; 8gb installed, 3.21 Total Physical
Hello, this is probably an age-old question, but is it natural for a computer to only use only a portion of its installed RAM? I'm aware that a 32 bit system has limitations on how much RAM can be used, but it seems ridiculous to have 8GB of RAM installed and only 3.21 GB total. On my last...

Physical Memory Usage
Hi, I just want to confirm if my PC is performing alright. I have recently started task manager and noticed that my physical memory usage is around 50%, I have hardly any applications open. Is this normal? If not how do I resolve such a problem? EDIT: I have 4 GB of RAM running Windows 7 and as...

Windows 7 random CPU usage and high physical memory usage!!!
Ok, I am literally KILLING myself over this! I installed Windows 7 64Bit over XP around a month ago and it was so good that I recommended it to my brother who was previously on XP too. We got him a copy of the 32bit version as he has only 2gb of memory, and he installed it on his machine....
