Quick Questions about CHKDSK /F
So I pulled out my USB a bit too early today and a bunch of my files got corrupted. CHKDSK detected errors in the file system, so I decided to run CHKDSK /F to fix them (I didn't do a sector recovery scan, as it didn't find any data located in bad sectors). After I did so I was looking through my files and thought some were missing. What I'm wondering is if CHKDSK /F can cause futher corruption and data loss if a drive might already be damaged. CHKDSK didn't ask to create any file chains and the USB is only a year old, so I'm guessing that didn't happen in my case but I just want someone to confirm this and also give an answer to my question for future reference.
Thanks in advance.
