Shortcut shutdown in 2 ways - difference?

    Greetings.
I have been using your guide to a shutdown shortcut for some time, but now it has given me some troubbles (some programs don't shut down properly anymore for some reason).
I used this in the setting:
    C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00 -f

I then found a solution like this:
    C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe -p -f

For now it is working, but what is the difference in Windows 7 using one or the other method?

I don't see any practical difference at all.
The first command shuts down the computer with a delay that is explicitly set to 0 seconds.
The second command shuts down the computer with no delay. It is just a shorter form of the first.

Nothing obvious in the parameter definition either.

    /s Shutdown the computer.

/p Turn off the local computer with no time-out or warning.

/f Force running applications to close without forewarning users.
The /f parameter is implied when a value greater than 0 is
    specified for the /t parameter.

Ok. I will then continue to use the second solution, as it seems to work just fine.
    Thank you for the answers
