Froze, ran CHKDSK now stuck at stage 4

    Hello,
Okay I will give you a short background of the events leading up to my current state. Yesterday my awesome computer with no problems all the sudden froze, I had to hard reboot it; When It started back up I was logged into a temporary account after looking online and following steps to try and get back onto my account failed It was stated to run a full disk check on my C: Drive so I started the CHKDSK and it ran for about 15 minutes, the screen was updating until it reached stage 4 at file 44548 once it hit this guy my computer has not budged and that was aproximately 18hrs ago...Not sure what to do now, advice?

Hi Kokines and welcome to Seven Forums.

Maybe you should try a repair Install?

Should I hard reboot the PC to get out of the CHKDSK?

It's the only thing you can do. So yes. Happened to me before where the chkdsk wouldn't go pass 27% Just try to do the repair install. It's a lot of hassle but will fix you problem :)
