System Repair Not Working on Dell Windows 7 Laptop

I see a drive called Recovery on the disk management tool. When I change the drive path, I can burn that to a DVD but then it doesn't do anything when I put it in and boot from it. It says that the \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe file is not working. The error is 0xc0000001. I have looked up this error and tried to fix it but I cannot. I also went into the winload.exe file on the OS drive and changed the permissions thinking that is why it couldn't load but it still gives me the error.

If you have the RECOVERY partition you should be able to boot up to the system recovery options .

When you do this

Click Start

→ All Programs→ Dell DataSafe Local Backup.
That folder is empty ? We re looking for Create Recovery Media

You will need an 8GB USB flash drive or a DVD‐R/DVD+R disc

Yes, all of the Dell folders are empty. Where did the files go?

Click on

type in PROGRAMS and Features and press <ENTER> in the uninstall window . Do you see Dell DataSafe ? If not you should be able to restore your laptop to factory settings from within the Recovery partition . Steps below

Step 1 : Restart PC
Step 2 : When the DELL logo appears, press <F8> several times to access the Advanced Boot Options window.
Step 3 : Select Repair Your Computer. The System Recovery Options window appears.
Step 4 : Select a keyboard layout and click Next.
Step 5 : To access the recovery options, log on as a local user. To access the command prompt, type administrator in the User name field, then click OK.
Step 6 : Click Dell Factory Image Restore. The Dell Factory Image Restore welcome screen appears.
Step 7 : Click Next. The Confirm Data Deletion screen appears.
Step 8 : Select the check box to confirm that you want to continue to reformat the hard drive and restore the system software to the factory condition, then click Next. The restore process begins and may take five or more minutes to complete. A message appears when the operating system and factory‐installed applications have been restored to factory condition.
Step 9 : Click Finish to restart the computer.

ok... After my scan the computer started without numerous windows and errors popping up so the computer itself is getting better. The scan must have fixed some stuff. I looked in the Dell folders and they are all empty. When I went to programs and features, I do see Dell Datasafe Local backup but when I look in the size column it is blank. All of the Dell files are blank.
So I rebooted and pressed F8 and then selected Repair Your Computer (like I have done 4,000 times) and it just starts windows. It doesn't give me any options. It says loading windows files at the bottom of a black screen and there is a white bar going across but then it just starts windows.

Looks like will will have to format the hard drive . Using the ISO from the link I supplied on the previous posts to do the following

Back up IMPORTANT data before doing the following steps below

On the Dell Splash screen press F12 and choose the device optical drive or USB device . Press enter when you see the screen that says Press any key to boot from cd or DVD…( image below )

When you get to this screen ( image below )

Press Shift and F10 . You will get a command prompt window . It should open up to X:\Sources . In there input these commands and press enter after each line .

Back on the image above press Install Now . Check the I accept the license terms box and click on Next. Click on the Custom (advanced) option. Then choose
Disk 0 Partition 1: (C:\) and click Next

When the computer restarts don't press any keys it will continue on its own .

ok... Now that the computer is cleaned up a bit I went into the control panel and was able to tell it to "create a system image". can I use this instead of the iso file I downloaded? It seems to be saving the system image to the disks when it would not do it before. Also, I will have to reinstall MS Office after I load Windows, right? And the thing that worried me about the iso file you recommended was that it kept saying that I should save the drivers, etc. to a disk just in case it doesn't work or reload them. I don't want to do this because I really don't know which drivers I should save. I just want to load Windows and have it work. Should it? I don't care about backing up anything because my son is giving me this computer for my own use so I just want to start fresh without any of his data on it.

copying the system image was taking forever so I stopped it. I put in the iso disk and started the computer. I pressed F12 and it showed the disk drive as the top option (I had already changed it in BIOS), I clicked on it and then it took me to a screen that gave me the options of Launch Repair of Your Computer or start windows normally. I clicked launch repair and it put me in an endless loop like it did so many times before just giving me the same option over and over again. So I just started windows. I checked the iso disk and the file is there but for some reason it is not booting from it.

I just tried it again and the screen it gives me has the options "Launch Start Up Repair (Recommended)" and "Start Windows Normally"

This is in the Windows Error Recovery utility.
