Good day probuddha. I'm somewhat lost.
What are your boot times now in seconds.
Do you have a backup and/or a restore point before you started all these changes?

Good day Jack!
I just recorded my booting time and from pressing the power button to the time the desktop appeared is 1 min & 55 secs.
And no, the only restore point I have it from today morning when I reinstalled Windows Performance Toolkit to run the boot traces. For some weird reason, the restore points I created previously gets deleted even though it is turned on for my C drive
Thanks!
U also have sake setup as op and having similar issues.
What is the bootwiz equivalent in windows 7?
Sorry it's taken so long - been working on something critical the last 3 days. In reviewing this trace, I can see that the system is actually a bit worse in some ways, performance-wise, than it was previously - but it is better in some ways as well. I'm going to grab symbols from this trace (which will take awhile) and try to provide some insight.
No hurries Carl - take your time.
Thanks
My time is still monopolized this weekend, but I can tell you the bulk of your issues are caused by a process called EasyRedirect.exe - Avast is still hammering the disk otherwise, though, so be aware.
EasyRedirect.exe refers to the IP changing software easy-hide-ip.com that I use on demand. After providing the last boot trace, when I tried to run the software, it gave me an error saying LSP is missing. I reinstalled the software and the error went away.
The duration of the black screen post the welcome screen has reduced to about 15 seconds now.
Would you like me to do an updated boot trace for you?
Many thanks!
