Windows 7: Svchost activity! Bad

Windows 7 Ultimate Retail Box (64-bit installed) + Service Pack 1

Case is clean and clear of DUST?

Your motherboard is screwed down to the case (aka. grounded) properly.

Southbridge has a heatsink and/or fan that is working (if applicable), the Southbridge handles USB functioning.... maybe see if new driver is available, although you probably did that already, be tempted to use an old version for troubleshooting/testing, too. Sorry, this is over most users' heads.

Specifically around anything related to the Universal Serial Bus fare? Or the cable to the extra USB ports in your case (top side and/or front, and sometimes found via a slot/bracket in the back) connected at the motherboard, fully snug?

Its started acting up. Nothing i can see triggered it i was doing something with my iPhone plugged in , now CPU is 100%.

The last times this happened my iPhone wasnt plugged in. But currently my USB devices NOW wont connect properly or work.

Case is fresh no dust at all, mobo is properly screwed to the case with correct screws and mount screws, as for southbridge my limited knowledge of it there is no fan (if you mean ones that are usually attached to the mobo itself?)

Ive had this mobo and CPU for 3 years and never installed a USB driver for it, i dont think there even is one available.

Also when this happens its not limited to the front USB slots that are connected via the pins it effects the back ones too.

One more thing too while ive been typing this the weird activity has calmed and stopped which took about 5-6 minutes.

Usually i would have rebooted by now.

AHA!? Maybe this could be the problem?

Everytime this has happened i have not waited for the activity to calm to see any other effects.

Now during it my keyboard shortcuts (Mute, Volume etc) go funny. Now its calmed down the keyboard hasnt returned to normal. The shortcuts are pretty much unusable and its not responsive except for normal letter keys.

Its a Cyborg V7 keyboard that requires drivers for the shortcuts to work properly if im correct.

I have installed using the provided disc but maybe they need to be updated? I hope its that simple.

I will try this but first, can you tell me how to find out my current version? The disc itself doesnt say what it gives.

When i run the disc it says updating drivers.. I dont actually know if its downloading any updates for me it doesnt say.
