    I was afraid of that.

Lets see what this tells u

Click on type Resource Monitor and press <ENTER> once it shows up under Programs (1)

Click the checkboxes to the left of each of the svchost.exe processes (or just those that you care about). Now, switch to the CPU tab

See the names of the logical services in the middle pane? Now you can sort by the CPU column and you've got the name of your out of control process.

    Upload a PrntScrn

Click on all of the svchost.exe you find. When does the svchost.exe go crazy?

Its random so far, ive not noticed a trigger etc it was just a matter of time, ive just noticed NOW after uploading the PlugPlay service has started going up and down. But i have plugged anything in.

I know that the one ticked is the culprit, what good are the rest?

I wonder if you have something stuck/lodged in a USB port, got a can of compressed air handy, or a bent pin maybe or something already connected is not seated tightly?

    Just brainstorming...

I have UPnP Device Host disabled in my Services.msc screen, is yours? [just another thought.]
Regular Plug and Play service is still STARTED | AUTO
