System using 17mil b/sec normal or something in computer dead

Is this normal? I am guessing it is not. Is something dying/dead in my laptop? This is fresh install. 1.5 tb dual hdd. The most concerning part is this keeps occurring re-install after re-install. System is using 100% disk usage at 17million bytes per second total and up to but not limited to 23 million when installing large programs (games) which when looking through resource monitor the system is using all of the disk and the installation is next to none and is labeled suspend

Looks like bitdefender is running scans. let them complete and then change the settings.

Its not that and it should not be causing the laptop to lag. Its almost as if there is no cap on how much system is using the disk. Today running 2 game installations simultaneously showed system using over 1billion bytes per second. I moved the pagefile to my second HDD and that has somewhat helped the lag spikes. Games run phenomenal its just everyday usage that seems to cause this. Like running installations or anything with large files causes the system to lag horribly

Have you got your motherboard chipset drivers installed, including any SATA/RAID drivers available?

try to go into indexing options (Start and then write "indexing options" in the search box) and ask it to pause the indexing (if it is indexing anyway). If it was that, the disk usage should then go back to normal for a while (30 mins or so).

If it's just that, then leave it overnight, eventually it will stop (once it has indexed everything it was supposed to). Otherwise disable it if you don't want it.

Actually whats the main issue seemed to be was Bitdefender. It was not only scanning files in the background but copying them constantly! Seems to be an ongoing issue with different people. I simple went back to avast and made a 20gb pagefile partition on my second 1tb hdd. Everything seems to be running better than ever
