Let me see if I got this correct.
Crucial says you need more than 8 gigs of ram and just by chance Crucial sells ram.
Just heed to the information these good folks have given you.
Unless you are doing some extreme things 8 gigs is more than enough
They don't sell ram nor do I.
I doubt that Crucial said you needed more RAM. Most likely it was merely a suggestion on the website that you might benefit from more memory, hardly surprising from a company that sells RAM. And for all they knew it might be true. It was not based on an objective analysis of your computer and it's needs, which in any case could not be done by any automated process.
