Windows 7: Power Settings

I have my a question about the min/max setting for the cpu right now i have both set to 100% now is that a good option or should i say have the min set to 50% and max left at 100% I'm confused here i came frox XP never had sutch settings please help me in this area as i do not know what i am doing and help will be appreciated

The setting will use the power saving features of the processor if it supports it. As a result will lower the power consumption of the processor, lower the heat given off. It slows down the processor when the full speed of the processor is not required. When the full power of the processor is needed, it will instantly return to full power without any hiccup.

I have my set all the way down to 5% for min and 100% for max.
