Missing Hard drive space

Hey there guys, I seem to be missing 15GB of storage on my C: Drive (37.5GB(subpartition of a larger hard drive)

I am aware that my Windows (Ultimate) OS uses 15-20GB, but on top of that, I am missing even more space.

Apparently, in my user space, I am using 15GB, despite that I do not have any programs or files in the partition, as they are located elsewhere.

Disk cleanups, defrags, and restores do not help, and despite that windows says my user area takes up 15GB, the files inside only add up to 8 MB - yes, Megabytes.

Hiberfile.sys and Pagefile.sys have both been deleted, but I am still missing 15GB, rendering my computer useless in terms of certain functions, like syncing my iPod.

Could anyone help me locate this error?

It sounds like you are saying you know 15 GB is used in the User folder that shouldn't be.
(Users is a folder in the C partition)

In Windows Explorer can you expand the C:\Users folder to see what is in there?

You can use Windirstat to more easily see where space is used in this folder.
WinDirStat - Windows Directory Statistics

This tutorial can help with space issues.

Unhide Hidden files in Control Panel>Folder Options>View to see all files under Users. It may be temp files that are not deleting correctly. Run CCleaner to be sure.

That said I have had ghosts taking up space before that cannot be pinned down using all available methods - WinDirStat, unhiding, deleting all folder content, etc - until wiping the HD to do a Clean Reinstall .

My D: drive should be 230GB. After installing less than 30GB it seems to be all most full. So I downloaded the program 'Folder Size' to check on my space. Which says that my disk is only 33GB in size. So I'm missing a small 200GB. How can I use that missing 200GB?
