ClearPageFileAtShutdown - Enabling despite group policy

After troubleshooting slow shutdowns, I discovered that the pagefile is being cleared as a security feature. I understand what this does and decided I'd rather have faster shutdowns. Anyway, this is disabled in group policy. I can change the registry key ( at\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management ) for ClearPageFileAtShutdown to 0, which fixes it temporarily, but whenever group policy is updated or I do a
    Code:
    GPUPDATE /FORCE
, that registry key is back to 1 giving me long shutdown headaches! Where is my computer getting this if it's disabled in group policy? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the computer connected to a work network? If so the local group policy may be overridden by a domain policy.

It's on a domain. I've disabled it in group policy on the main domain controller. Also, looking at my local group policy editor and local security policy, both say its enabled but it's grayed out under computer configuration ( I can't edit it ). I'm an administrator on the local machine.

Well, if it's the policy of your I.T. folks, you probably shouldn't be looking to circumvent it.

    Agree on hating it.
