What performance/tweaking tools do you use, right now?

    I'll start...

This about covers what I am actively using now...

    Core Tuner 2.0
    Uninstaller 5
    System Suite Pro 14
    Boost Speed 5.x
    Win Optimizer 10
    WinPatrol 2013
    CCleaner

Plenty of overlap there, but I prefer multiple opinions.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Firewall and A/V wise I'm using Webroot Secure Anywhere - Internet Security Plus 2013, but planning on switching to BitDefender next year, +the usual suspects if I ever need extra A/V scanning, very very very rarely. [see avtest.org if shopping for a product of this sort for independent testing/results]
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Posted this because always on the hunt for good tools...

+1 for common sense, thought that went without saying, though.

What does that SAS stand for? [I worked in RTP where SAS US HQ is.... never thought they made a tweaking tool. ]

    None.

I do use Winpatrol & Ccleaner.

Prepare for the inevitable debate on tweaking and performance utilities.

CCleaner and Auslogics Disk Defrag Pro only. MS security essentials for AV.

derekimo, bring it on, that is fine! [part of my point of this thread was to inform the not so informed of what some of us computer savvy folk deem worthy of their time and effort, for this particular, often ignored, by regular users, sector of PC "fun", but still important!!!
    Some of the stuff out there is pure garbage and does more harm then good, usually if it doesn't tell you anything about the specifics or offers nothing, but an optimize button, it's hogwash, and avoid it!] {that was long and worth it (Tosh joke)}

I like how you said none, then mention WinPatrol and CCleaner.

BTW, Boost Speed is the commercial Auslogic suite that includes the defrag tool and a lot more, it's been my overall favorite one for 5 or so years, if I need to tweak my Internet settings, (after something else mucks it up) that is my go to tool and worth it, just for that, IMHO.

I'm not really sure what is meant by a tweaking tool.
To me security and clean up tools programs are not tweaking tools.
I tweak using my bios for a over clock.
I use Windows 7 built in programs and abilities.
In my opinion Windows 7 doesn't need or want tuned up, tweaked up or any other terms one might find a program or website to use.
