How can I fix various SFC /scanreg errors?

    Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate and have been unable to upgrade to the sp2 for some time now. I tried to do a repair install from the original disk but it was giving errors and wouldn't allow me to.

I then did a SFC scan several times but each time was coming up with several errors.

Can someone take a look at this CBS log and let me know if there's anyway of repairing or will I need to do a complete new install? Thanks.

*title was supposed to say sfc /scannow

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums.. Did you upgrade to Windows Ultimate ? As you cannot do a Repair and Install .. I think your only other Option is a clean Install .. You have stated that you can not upgrade to sp2 ? Or did you mean you cannot run Windows updates ?

    thanks for the reply.

For years I was using XP but I bought a brand new build in January and new copy of Windows 7. So it was a fresh install on a new hard drive.

Windows updates are working fine, except for SP1 (sorry I mistakenly said SP2). It refuses to update from windows update so I downloaded the System Readiness Tool but still wouldn't work. I then tried to do a repair install from the original disk but it wouldn't let me.

Then I would go for the Clean Install ... Read the Link below it also contains SP1 .. It will enable you to get a perfect Installation

    Clean Install Windows 7
