Is force quitting bad for your laptop?

    Yes that was solved except I couldn't get the chocoplayer to work which is a bummer because it was my favorite player design wise and capability.

    How long did Best Buy say it would take to get it repaired? Only you can answer the question of whether a $50 computer would be worth it to you to use in the absence of your other computer.

    I've never sent a computer in for repairs in the 30 years I have been using them so I can't relate to your situation. Not only that but I have quite a few "spares" that I could use in the meantime if I ever had to send one in.
