are you sure your C drive is only 20gb??, this is way too small for win7, at the very least it needs 15 GB just to install, then you need the page file which on my sys is 15gb, 10% of your drive should be free for basic running.

I have just changed my 64 gb SSD to 180 GB just to stop my OS complaining every so often lol

My SSD takes up 58GB, thats with Hibernate switched off , and all programes installed to my d: drive.

    Hi ACA1114,

Having 20 GB of C drive partition is very less for normal windows operating. It would be better if you increase the size of the C drive.

Please check the link below for increasing the size of the C drive:

Partition / Extended : Logical Drives

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

What is the size of your page file? It should show in Task Manager resource view. Or use a command prompt with
    dir pagefile.sys
when the prompt is in the root of C:\ drive.

Could be you are just using some swap.
You can put the page file to the larger partition to avoid the squeeze if that's what is causing it.

edit: but generally speaking I agree it's not good to squeeze the OS partition too tight. Stuff keeps getting put in System32 as you install things, even to another partition. The size of the system partition tends to creep up over time.
