Can someone explain how to setup items that should load at startup?

Can someone explain how to setup the items that should load at startup, such as antivirus, etc. I am trying to create a very limited use User Profile that is restricted so that when the user logs in, it takes the user right into QuickBooks. I also want the user to be able to connect remotely through Logmein and I also want to ensure that my AV software kicks in. I managed to clear out the desktop and start menu items, but I cannot get Logmein and the AV software to load.

To load software at startup you can populate the following registry key with the programs you want to load:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
    e.g. Antivirus = (REG_SZ)"C:\Program files\Antivirus\antivirus.exe"

Thank you everyone. I have since gained a rapid education into the use of GPO settings. From there I was able to accomplish what I needed. Thanks once again.

You never need more than your AV checked in msconfig>Startup and >Services (after Hiding all MS Services). I also allow my sync, gadgets, and stickies for convenience.

To have Quickbooks start up on the new account, copy its shortcut and drag it into All Programs>Startup folder.
